Meet the Team

  • Ted Rosen

    PRESIDENT

    Theodore A. Rosen, President, Expert Business Development, LLC, Radnor, PA, a firm he founded in 1993, specializing in helping community and regional banks, and other financial service providers build commercial relationships though professional appointment setting, sales process design and brand marketing. He has attained a national reputation delivering presentations and writing articles on subjects including sales process, sales culture, cross-selling and relationship management. He has worked closely with the Federal regulatory agencies, the American Bankers Association, America’s Community Bankers, Independent Community Bankers of America, Risk Management Association, and many state associations and community bank leagues. He has advised congressional staff and bank regulators and has trained federal bank examiners.

    Ted holds a BS in marketing from Pennsylvania State University. He is Immediate Past Chairman of the Board of Harcum College, past president of the Golden Slipper Charities, past Chairman of the Board of the Visiting Nurse Association of Greater Philadelphia, and a Trustee of Albert Einstein/Jefferson Healthcare Network, Inglis Foundation, Moss Rehab Hospital, American Bankers Association Marketing Network, the Wolf Performing Arts Center and numerous other community and charitable organizations.

    In June 1996, Ted was selected by United Way as a “Community Hero” to carry the Olympic torch on its journey to Atlanta. He has three children and lives with his wife, Toni, in Bryn Mawr, PA.

  • Matt Regn, VP, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

    Matt Regn

    VP, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

    As Vice President of Business Development, Matthew focuses on building new client relationships while developing new opportunities with our current client base.

    A graduate of Bloomsburg University with a B.A. in Communications, Matthew has worked in business development within several industries for over 18 years. The majority of his diverse background was spent within financial institutions, such as Wachovia and CIT Group Inc., where he dealt primarily with bankers, mortgage brokers, and financial products and services. He is also a veteran of commercial and industrial business development through his years working with multiple Fortune 500 companies. This versatility makes him an ideal proponent of our mission to provide relationship-building services to any and all businesses and financial service providers across the nation.

    Matthew e enjoys the outdoors, playing golf, fishing and chasing his kids as they explore the world.

  • Michael Usavage

    VP, OPERATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY

    Michael Usavage is an IT professional with extensive experience in the areas of helpdesk, system administration, project management, governance, and executive management positions. As the Vice President of Operations and Technology, Michael brings a wealth of knowledge in technology management and business operations and specializes in the intersection of these two critical areas.

    Throughout his career, Michael has provided technology consulting services, including strategic roadmaps, budgeting, and business advice to a diverse list of clients, ranging from SMEs to enterprise-level businesses. His expertise in business and technical communication, organizational management, and strategic planning has been instrumental in driving success for his clients and for a second term, Expert Business Development.

    Michael holds a degree from Temple University and has also successfully run his own side business, gaining valuable insights and entrepreneurial experience.

    Outside of his professional life, Michael enjoys fishing, playing tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons and Warhammer 40k, and spending quality time with his family.

  • Cyndi Trombley, VP, FINANCE AND CONTROLLER

    Cyndi Trombley

    VP, FINANCE AND CONTROLLER

    Cyndi Trombley has been with EBD since 2015, and brings a vast array of skills in finance, communications, and IT to EBD with over 20 years of consulting for Fortune 500 companies across the Insurance, Education, Healthcare, Travel, and Security verticals. After graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology, she was instrumental in launching Personal Lines Insurance Brokerage, a subsidiary of the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.

    Over the course of her career, Cyndi has worked as a journalist for Recorder Newspapers in Northern New Jersey, served as a marketing, technical writing, and project management consultant, and taught middle school science and math.

    Cyndi lives in her Montgomery County, PA historical home with her husband, pet koi and an ongoing rotation of their six adult children.

  • Abby Keehn, DIRECTOR, CLIENT RELATIONS AND IMPLEMENTATION

    DIRECTOR, CLIENT RELATIONS AND IMPLEMENTATION

    Abby Keehn joined EBD in April of 2020 as Director of Client Relations. She brings a wealth of client relations experience in sales and account management for organizations ranging in size from small startups to Fortune 100 companies.

    Abby graduated with an MBA from Temple University's Fox School of Business. She is passionate about ensuring a great customer experience. Her approach is quite simple: “Stand in your customers’ shoes,” Understand their goals, and “Treat your customers like you want to be treated.” It’s served her well throughout her career.

    Abby likes to spend her free time enjoying the outdoors.  She loves hiking, biking, kayaking, and just "chilling" at the beach. 

  • Thomas Wallace

    DIRECTOR, CLIENT SERVICES

    Thomas Wallace joined EBD in June of 2018 as the Director, Client Services. His goal is to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship for EBD and our clients by utilizing his experience in implementing, executing, and managing calling campaigns while nurturing the success of the EBD highly talented Agent pool. Prior to join EBD, Thomas spent 18 years building his career at a Business Process Outsourcing organization where he began as an Outbound Cold Calling Agent while studying Marketing at West Chester University and ended as a Director, Client Relations before joining EBD in his current role.

    Thomas grew up in West Philadelphia, PA and currently resides in Downingtown, PA with his wife, Susan. When they aren't exploring the world, you can find him playing sports, enjoying a hike, gardening, or birding.

  • Nick Ristine

    DIRECTOR, TECHNOLOGY AND DATA

    Nick joined EBD as a Marketing Data Intern in 2015 and has grown professionally to become Director of Technology. After graduating from Temple University's Fox School of Business with a bachelor’s in economics in 2016, he joined EBD full-time, where he has played a critical role in enhancing EBD's IT capabilities.

    Now helping to lead EBD's technology strategy, Nick has implemented solutions and reporting tools that provide clients with campaign insights, helped enhance EBD's data analytics capabilities, and created process automations to streamline efficiency of everyday tasks. 

    When not at work, Nick runs a cat rescue called Stray Kitty Rescue with his partner, Kim, focusing on rehabilitating and rehoming Philadelphia and South Jersey stray cats. When Nick isn’t herding cats, playing guitar, and working on his Mazda Miata.

  • Kellie Whitlock, MANAGER, CLIENT SERVICES AND RECRUITING

    MANAGER, CLIENT SERVICES AND RECRUITING

    Kellie joined EBD in February 2018 and was promoted to Manager, Client Services and Recruiting in 2025. She manages the EBD’s talent acquisition while also handling client service responsibilities and calling campaign project management.

    With a bachelor’s degree in human resources from Temple University's Fox School of Business, Kellie applies her recruiting experience from the healthcare, insurance, and telecommunications industries to EBD’s recruitment. Her background as a Human Resources Administrator and Organizational Development Specialist helps her understand EBD's evolving talent needs. 

    Kellie lives in the Philadelphia suburbs with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys reading, trying new recipes, and spending time with family and friends.

  • Melanie Fortino

    MANAGER, IMPLEMENTATION

    Melanie joined EBD in late 2018, knowing nothing about the banking world or the amazing niche that EBD was created to fill, but she was familiar with the teamwork, creativity, and pursuit for excellence - she fit right in.

    Having developed a good understanding of banking processes and client workflows, she was promoted Manager, Implementation in 2019. Her diverse background in live broadcasting, cooking, and international retail provides EBD with different perspectives: her broadcast experience helps with time-sensitive coordination, her culinary training contributes to her attention to detail, and her retail experience aids in connecting with diverse client teams.

    While originally a Philly city girl, Melanie now lives in the quieter mountains of Pennsylvania watching birds and photographing the clear night skies.  She is also still trying to get to her growing stack of books that she swears she will someday read.

  • Nick Malikowski

    Nick Malikowski

    Manager, Client Services and Technology

    Nick Malikowski joined the EBD Client Services Team in June of 2022 as the Client Success Specialist. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Seton Hall University’s Stillman School of Business and brings nearly a decade of sales and client relationship experience to the role. In addition to working on the client services team, he also assists EBD’s IT team while working towards an IT degree at night.

    In his spare time, Nick can be found reading, playing golf or watching Philly sports.
